Role Summary 

 The Director Sales & Marketing is responsible for driving sales and business development activities in the assigned territories. A territory would typically comprise of a few states within EST or CST or PST time zone.  

 The position is open only for candidates who are based in the US and have been involved in US healthcare IT industry selling software products/cloud based services. 

He / She will drive the company’s initiative in customer acquisition and achieving revenue goals for the region. 

Responsibilities 

  • Direct sales of software products for on premise install which over next one year will be sold as ‘cloud based service’ 

  • Achieve a minimum yearly target. Target small (group practices) to large complex Integrated Delivery Systems having sophisticated buying process requiring strong strategic selling competencies 

  • Ensure contracts are signed on standard or reasonable terms. 

  • Set reasonable expectations with customers to make sure customers do not feel they were oversold once they go live 

  • Coordinate with the Marketing Team on Lead Generation and Sales Promotion activities.  

  • Leverage full support of a competent Pre-sales team based out of offshore in India 

  • Develop strong client / partner relationships and acting as the link between customers and the organization.  

  • Coordinate with customers, internal departments and partners for successful execution and implementation / support of sales 

  • Manage sales funnel effectively to make sure to meet quarterly and annual quotas.  

  • Network with top management of prospects and customers and build relationships.  

  • Network with sales force of partners with which our solution is integrated 

  • Keep a tab on competition’s activities and strategies  

  • Be an individual contributor at least one year or so. Subsequently he/she will lead a team of sales executives.

  • Teamwork – as selling often requires a team effort. The job will require frequent travel. The candidate must not have any constraints on this aspect.
