Role Summary | The Implementation Lead! leads and implements the product in one or more sites and also manages one or more implementation specialists |
Responsibilities | SME in end to end product has the ability to convince customers on the standard product features and usage, Has excellent knowledge on the domain the product is focused on. Defines implementation strategy for various customers based on their scenarios/needs Understand customer’s current workflows, Identify gaps if any between the customer workflows and the product. Convince customer to use standard workflow and plan for the gaps to be addressed in later releases. Help implementation manager in project planning, estimates and defining milestones. Interact with customers regularly, present project plan and status. Understand customer expectations and suggest suitable workarounds if the functionality is not supported by the product Deploy the software on the customer environment following the standard procedure and configure the changes that are required for the customer needs. Test all the features and make sure that the features are as expected by the customer requirements. Coordinate with various vendors to get the support/inputs for implementation. Provide demo of product to customer after the configurations are done. Define/refine best practices for implementation and to improve productivity of team. Guide team members on multiple implementations and handle implementation projects with multiple interfaces Manage implementation for more than one project in parallel Quickly understand new features of the product that are getting released. Have good understanding on hot fixes and when to upgrade customers. Documents finer details and provides the identified gaps to the development team and Lead Business Analyst. Work with development team continuously to resolve conflicts. Understand competitor product details, advantages and pitfalls Add value to the product by understanding customer pain points and providing solutions Engage with product stake holders in discussions to determine the future product features Present metrics of various sites in review meetings and get into analysis of product performance Have a periodic 1 x 1 discussion with the team members provide support where required and nominate team/peer for their achievements. Review plans prepared by implementation specialists and make suitable corrections |
Ensure all customer dependencies are highlighted and escalate if required appropriately Understand release cycles and the features coming in upcoming releases, so if new features are required by customers he/she can update the customers. Post-implementation train the end-users Transition the implementation activities to support team with proper documents Monitor the system in production through support team reports to ensure the system is being used regularly by customers without major issues. Ability to upgrade customers from one version to the other versions Keep abreast with developments in the product market and associated space through continuous learning | ||
